Holiday Oatmeal Fruit Compote

HOLIDAY OATMEAL FRUIT COMPOTE

Our Holiday Oatmeal Fruit Compote is gluten and dairy free. Cinnamon is included, which helps support baby’s digestive health and is a lively scent that can help boost brain function. This cereal-based recipe is great for the holidays or any day!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • ½ cup dried figs, finely diced
  • ½ cup dried apricots, finely diced
  • ¼ cup unsweetened dried cranberries
  • 2 pouches of Baby Gourmet Old Fashioned Apple Crisp link to product page
  • 1 ½ cup Baby Gourmet Oatmeal cereal link to product page
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • Makes 4 cups (8 – ½ cup servings)
  1. In a medium saucepan, place figs, apricots, cranberries and water. Bring to a gently boil, stirring occasionally, then reduce heat to low, add Baby Gourmet and cover for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in oatmeal and cinnamon. Cover pot and let stand for 10 minutes.
  3. Add water in 1 tbsp. increments if a smoother texture is desired.

Be sure to use organic, unsweetened dried fruit when possible, especially with apricots that are conventionally treated with sulphites.
