super whole wheat pancakes

Serves 6 - 8


½ cup whole-wheat flour

½ cup unbleached all purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

¾ teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon salt

1 egg

1 bottle Baby Gourmet Vanilla Shakers

1 tablespoon melted butter or oil

½ teaspoon vanilla

  1. In a medium bowl, combine flours, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  2. In a small bowl whisk together egg, Shakers, melted butter and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients and stir until moistened.
  3. Heat non-stick pan or prep griddle with cooking spray over medium heat. Use ¼ cup of batter for each pancake. Cook until lightly browned on each side. Keep warm in the oven until all the batter has been used up.
