Holiday Oatmeal Fruit Compote

  • Makes 4 cups (8 – ½ cup servings)

Tip: Be sure to use organic, unsweetened dried fruit when possible, especially with apricots that are conventionally treated with sulphites.

Oats are a great first cereal for your baby – chockfull of vitamins, minerals, fiber, calcium and protein. *
Cinnamon supports baby’s good digestive health and its lively scent can help boost brain function.


2 cups water
½ cup dried figs, finely diced
½ cup dried apricots, finely diced
¼ cup unsweetened dried cranberries
2 pouches of Baby Gourmet Old Fashioned Apple Crisp
1 ½ cup Baby Gourmet Oatmeal cereal
½ tsp. cinnamon

  1. In a medium saucepan, place figs, apricots, cranberries and water. Bring to a gently boil, stirring occasionally, then reduce heat to low, add Baby Gourmet and cover for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in oatmeal and cinnamon. Cover pot and let stand for 10 minutes.
  3. Add water in 1 tbsp. increments if a smoother texture is desired.
