gingery pear amaranth porridge

Amaranth is a gluten-free whole grain that is naturally high in magnesium, iron and B-vitamins. Adding amaranth seeds to this recipes provides baby with a new texture to enjoy.

Small amounts of ginger can help with baby’s digestive issues.


½ cup amaranth seeds

1 1/2 cups water

1 pouch Baby Gourmet Gingery Pear

Coconut milk

  1. Combine amaranth seeds, water and pouch of baby gourmet Gingery Pear, Spinach in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then lower heat to a simmer and cook, stirring until creamy, about 20-25 minutes.
  2. If porridge seems too thick, add more water or coconut milk 1 tbsp. at a time.
  3. Top with coconut milk before serving.
