banana kale super smoothie

Also known as the “Green Lantern” smoothie at my house! This simple recipe combines tart apple, sweet creamy banana and a cup of green veggies for a quick and healthy start to your day.

Serves 2 to 4

5 minutes

ingredients

2 small bananas

1 apple, cored and chopped

1 cup kale, chopped

1 cup milk (I use almond milk or coconut milk as an alternative)

handful of ice cubes

  1. In a blender combine all ingredients and blend until smooth.
  2. Add any additional goodies, such as hemp seeds, chia seeds, flax oil or greens powder as you wish.

The tart apple and sweet creamy banana in this smoothie make the cup of kale much easier to drink.
