Baby Gourmet Plus Product Line Wins The Canadian Retail Grocery Council’s Annual Grand Prix Award For Most Innovative Product, 2014
Baby Gourmet Plus is named top innovator in the Baby Care category selected by a jury of 30
Calgary, Alberta – June 03, 2015 – Baby Gourmet, Canada’s leading organic baby food company, announced today that Baby Gourmet Plus, an organic baby food line containing super fruits, vegetables, Greek yogurt and whole grains in every pouch, is the recipient of Canadian Retail Grocery Council’s 2014 Annual Grand Prix Award for innovation in baby care. Now in its 22nd year, the Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards™ is an annual program that celebrates new products in food, non-food and private-label categories. This awards program provides a unique opportunity for entrants to showcase their new products to a jury of industry experts and to be recognized by their peers.
Judges grade each entry on five criteria: innovation and originality, product characteristics, presentation and packaging, overall consumer value and lastly, consumer acceptance value (household penetration rate of product). To become a finalist each product must score at least 70% in judging.
“It is truly an honour for Baby Gourmet to be acknowledged for our team’s innovation as we constantly strive to delight Canadian moms & their children with highly nutritious and great tasting products,” said Baby Gourmet CEO Michael Watt. “We know parents have high standards for their families and it is very special to be voted the best Baby Category innovator across the Canadian grocery industry.”
Celebrating 22 years of its annual program designed to spotlight exceptional new products in 32 food categories, the Canadian Grand Prix Awards provides an exclusive chance for manufacturers, suppliers and distributors to showcase their new products to a panel of industry experts. This is the longest standing industry awards program of its kind.
